Hi, I’m Bea Obcena
A contemporary realist artist and educator from the Philippines with a lifelong love for sketchbooks and storytelling through art.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I was always the quiet kid at the back of the classroom with a sketchbook nearby, filling pages with ideas, observations, and little worlds of my own.
Over the years, realism became the style that fascinated me most. But for a long time, I kept my work to myself. During the pandemic, I finally started sharing my art online through @beao.art, and what began as a personal creative outlet grew into an incredible community of artists and sketchbook lovers.
