Hi! I'm Bea Obcena,

A contemporary realist artist based in the Philippines who loves to sketch things that inspire me.

My artistic journey began in childhood. I always carry a sketchbook with me everywhere I go. I was the quiet artistic kid at the back of the classroom, sketching away all my ideas, inspirations, and fantasies. Drawing has always been an escape for me. As I grew up, I’ve gone through different art styles, but it was realism that fascinated and inspired me to pursue art and make it a career. For years, I kept my art hidden from the world, and it was during the pandemic that I finally made my Instagram account, “beao.art”, where I found a community to share the thing that I’m most passionate about, which is art.

In my free art workshop, I’m sharing with you some of the experience I’ve gathered over the years in sketching.
